What a check looks like

Three things that hit your phone this week.

Here's the kind of answer Aiva gives: a clear verdict, the reasons why, and what to do about it. No jargon, no lecture.

Text message
+1 (318) 555-0147Hi, this is Toll Services. You have an unpaid toll balance of $4.35. Avoid a late fee of $50: ezpass-tollpay.top/pay
AIAiva says 🚩 Scam
  • Toll agencies don't text random links ending in .top
  • Tiny bill + scary fee = classic pressure trick

Do this: Don't tap it. Delete and report as junk. If you're worried, log in to your toll account the usual way.

AIAiva says 🎣 Phishing
  • Sender isn't a real Microsoft domain
  • "Expires today" urgency to rush you

Do this: Don't click or sign in. Report it as phishing. If you clicked, change your password and turn on two-step sign-in.

Photo
AIAiva says 🤖 Likely AI-made
  • Lighting and edges don't match up
  • Sharks don't live in Colorado mountain lakes

Do this: Don't share it as real. Check a trusted local news source first.

These examples are illustrative mockups, not real results. Aiva is an AI and can be wrong, so when money or accounts are on the line, double-check with the company directly.

Yes. Is This Sus? will be a free download on iPhone and Android, and checking things is free. If we ever add an optional paid extra, we'll say so clearly.

What happens to what I share? (Privacy)

We don't sell your data. Only what you choose to share with the app gets checked. We don't read your inbox, contacts or photos, just the one item you send. And your waitlist email is used only to tell you about the launch.

Who's Aiva?

Aiva is an AI assistant, and she's open about it. She does the checking and explains the results like a friend who happens to know a lot about scams. AI can make mistakes, so for anything involving money or your accounts, confirm with the company directly using a number or website you already trust.

Who's behind it?

Is This Sus? is made by Newaiv, an IT company in Denver, Colorado that helps businesses with tech and security every day. We built this because "is this real?" is the question we get asked most.

When does it launch?
